Hydroservice strengthens its presence in the Gulf countries
New opportunities for Italian engineering in international markets
In recent years, the Gulf countries have established themselves as one of the most dynamic hubs for industrial and energy investments worldwide. In this context, Hydroservice, building on over 50 years of experience in the industrial, petrochemical, oil & gas and energy sectors, is consolidating its international expansion strategy by strengthening its presence in the United Arab Emirates and, more broadly, across the GCC region.
This path is part of a wider framework of institutional and industrial cooperation, as demonstrated by the agreement signed at the Hub for Made in Italy in Abu Dhabi between Assolombarda and Alghanim & Sons Group, with the support of SACE and SIMEST.
Hydroservice was represented in this institutional context by its Chief Executive Officer, Valerio Berra, who took part in the signing of the agreement.

Hydroservice: an Italian SME with an international vision
Hydroservice represents a concrete example of an Italian SME capable of competing in highly complex and specialised markets.
The entry of the second entrepreneurial generation and the strengthening of the company’s managerial structure have enabled Hydroservice to accelerate its international development, while preserving its family-owned identity and a business approach focused on quality, reliability and direct relationships with customers.
The Gulf as a strategic market
Hydroservice has been operating in the Gulf countries for decades through plants and supply projects; today, however, the company is pursuing a more structured and continuous market presence. The United Arab Emirates represent a strategic hub not only for the local market, but also as a key logistical and industrial gateway to Asia, particularly towards China.
The strategic direction is clear: reducing intermediate steps, moving closer to end customers and improving operational efficiency, responsiveness and overall service quality. This approach is based on representatives and agents directly present in the region, ensuring a stable market presence while maintaining operational flexibility.

An ecosystem enabling internationalisation
Within this context, the agreement signed at the Hub for Made in Italy in Abu Dhabi represents a significant opportunity for Italian companies. The Hub is a strategic platform dedicated to the growth and internationalisation of Made in Italy excellence across key sectors of the Emirati economy, from energy to innovation, manufacturing and finance.
The protocol between Assolombarda and Alghanim & Sons Group, supported by SACE and SIMEST, creates a favourable environment for the development of joint industrial projects, business matching initiatives and financial and insurance support for Italian SMEs interested in the GCC region.
Hydroservice is among the Italian SMEs well positioned to seize the opportunities generated by this agreement, thanks to its consolidated technical expertise and an already established presence in the region.

Looking to the future on solid foundations
For Hydroservice, strengthening its presence in the Gulf countries is not a tactical move, but part of a long-term industrial vision. The goal is to build direct, lasting and value-driven relationships with local partners and clients, contributing to the development of complex projects in the energy and industrial sectors.
This path confirms the role of Italian engineering as a reliable technological partner in international markets and further strengthens Hydroservice’s positioning as a company capable of combining experience, innovation and a global vision.
