The needs of the client

A MACHINE THAT IS ROBUST, SAFE, RELIABLE AND EASY TO MAINTAIN

Our Client is an international cylinder manufacturer that develops standard hydraulic cylinders, but above all special-order hydraulic cylinders, and requested a test bench that would permit them to:

  • perform all types of static and dynamic tests required, from standard testing to the most complex testing procedures required by clients
  • quickly and easily collect, process and archive test data
  • trace the results of the tests according to their quality management system
  • store test procedures so that they can be "recalled" in the case of repetitive orders
  • create automatic reports
  • reduce testing times to a minimum through the development of a dedicated HMI (Human Machine Interface)

What Hydroservice has developed

HYDROSERVICE HAS DESIGNED, MANUFACTURED AND DEVELOPED EVERY PART OF THE TEST BENCH

The mechanical part has been designed in such a way as to obtain a robust, safe, reliable and easily maintainable machine on the part of the client's operators.

The hydraulic part, also thanks to Bosch Rexroth products, has been designed to allow the testing of a wide range of hydraulic cylinders. The client can test both small and large cylinders up to a maximum pressure of 620 bar.

A special focus was made on the cleanliness of the oil, which is very important to ensure the quality and reliability of the client's product. Each circuit is equipped with double filters (one on stand-by) complete with optical/electrical clogging indicators.

The software system has been developed in order to have a clear and intuitive user interface for the operator. The control software, unlike a purely manual bench, has been developed in such a way that the operator cannot generate dangerous situations. The proportional control of the pressure, flow rate and correct functioning of the components is automatically managed by the software in accordance with current safety standards.

THE PROCEDURES ARE NOW MUCH SIMPLER

In general, the client was very satisfied with the product supplied by Hydroservice, since the new test bench has significantly expanded the range of test methods that can be performed, also meeting the increasingly stringent requirements of some clients.

At the same time, all procedures are now much simpler, faster, safer and qualitatively improved.

Furthermore, a large "plus" has come from the possibility to record/archive the parameters of each test that is performed (the traceability of test data is a gap that the client has filled with the integration of the new bench).
